Redmi Note 9s vs Redmi Note 9 Pro vs Redmi Note 9 Pro Max 2

Apart from a few differences in certain departments, it seems these devices have pretty much the same features and capabilities. For one, they all come with the same OS – MIUI 11 based on Android 10, performing with the same Qualcomm SM7125 Snapdragon 720G chipset, Octa-core processor and Adreno 618 GPU. In addition, they are all powered by same 5020mAh battery rating, however while Xiaomi Redmi note 9 Pro max supports fast charging at 33W boosting your phone to 50% in 30 minutes, Note 9 Pro‘s fast charging is at 30W, leaving Note 9s to 18W which is the lowest of the trio.

Another similarity lies in the display and build – the 3 devices are framed by plastic, with glass on the back and on the front with a punched hole IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen protected by gorilla glass 5. The side mounted fingerprint sensor on all devices looks really incredible. We also see that they all come in the display size of 6.67 inches, and screen resolution at 1080 x 2400 pixels.

Now, let’s get to the areas in which these devices differ. Starting with the camera segment, while the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max boasts a quad camera arrangement in the rear which comprises a 64 MP wide angle lens plus a 8 MP ultra wide sensor, a 5 MP macro sensor and an additional 2MP depth sensor with a 32 MP as a selfie camera. The Redmi Note 9s & 9 Pro on the other hand both feature a 48 MP + 8MP + 5MP + 2MP rear camera and a 16 MP selfie camera. Xiaomi should have done a little more in the selfie segments, as it seems they packed all the excitement in the rear.

We already see the Redmi Note 9s in 64GB 4GB RAM and 128GB 6GB RAM variants and in the colours Aurora Blue, Glacier White, Interstellar Gray. The Redmi Note 9 Pro will come in 64GB 6GB and 128GB 6GB RAM – in Tropical Green, Glacier White, and Interstellar Gray colour. Redmi Note 9 Pro Max will be available in the same memory variants as the Note 9 Pro but with an additional 128GB, 8GB RAM and in colour Aurora Blue, Glacier White, and Interstellar Black.

While the Redmi Note 9s graced the market on the 30th of April which was last month, the other devices are expected to be released later this month.
