Should we bank on 3rd Gen Airpods?

It wasn't too long ago that Apple released another version of the Apple Airpods, otherwise known as the second generation Airpods. The Airpods 2 was built with a faster processor, which enables hands free Siri activation, offers longer talk time and a wireless charging option. Pending the release of the second generation Airpods, we were made to believe that Apple was working on a new model of Airpods slated for 2019, which would come with noise cancelation and water resistance features. As we have seen, the Airpods 2 have neither of those. Well, recently, rumour has it that Apple may be planning to release two new models of Airpods later this year or early next year - 2020. Although one of the models may be a slight update to the existing model, while the other model may feature major updates and may have a water proof casing and noise cancelation feature. There is also a chance the new Airpods could come in new black colour options... Now, we do not know if Apple will go through with this or whether it is just what it is - A rumour. But question is, would you ever consider buying the new models with the fact that they could be ten times more expensive than the current model?

Go Wireless With Apple Airpods

AirPods are wireless Bluetooth earbuds created by Apple and were first released in 2016, a second iteration was released in March 2019 which means there are currently two versions of the Airpods; the first generation Airpods (Airpod 1) and the second generation Airpods (Airpod 2). They are Apple's most popular accessory product, and this is because they are free of wires, and are super convenient to use for listening to audio and making phone calls. The Airpods are designed with a chipset called the W1 (on Airpod 1) or H1 (on Airpod 2) that allows for easy pairing and rock-solid audio sync, built-in accelerometer to register tap controls, an optical sensor to detect when they're in your ears and when they're out, dual beam-forming microphones for talking to Siri and making crystal clear phone calls, and a second accelerometer for speech detection. They come with a Charging Case, which is used for both charging and storage purposes. The Charging Case is small in size, portable and easily pocketable. There’s the Lightning cables which should be connected to the Lightning port at the bottom to charge the AirPods and the case. The Wireless Charging Case also lets you charge with a Qi wireless charger. When it comes to the battery life, AirPods deliver an incredible 5 hours of listening time on one charge and 3 hours of listening time with just 15 minutes charge. The charging case also holds multiple additional charges for more than 24 hours of listening time. Now, before using the Airpods, they have to be paired or configured with an Iphone or any Apple device. AirPods are also compatible with any device that supports Bluetooth 4.0 or higher, including Android devices (although the features and functionality are limited).
