Xiaomi Fixes Mi browser, Mi browser Pro & Mint browser to address privacy concerns

Following the privacy concerns raised by security researchers concerning the browsers' aggregate data collection, Xiaomi announced on its blog that it had updated Mi Browser and Mi Browser Pro to version 12.1.4, and Mint Browser to version 3.4.3. These updates feature an enhanced "incognito" mode that let's users to switch on or off 'aggregate data collection' which originally is disabled by default. To confirm if you have the improved incognito mode on your Mi browser, head to Settings > Incognito Mode settings in your browser. You'll see the Enhanced Incognito Mode which when enabled, allows Xiaomi to collect your browsing data, including the search queries you make through Google and other search engines. You can download the updated version of Mi browser, Mi Browser Pro and Mint Browser for your device via Google Play. For MIUI users who have a pre-installed version of the Mi Browser, they will receive an over-the-air update that can be installed manually by going to Settings > System apps updater. The concern was that xiaomi was allegedly transmitting users data and search queries to remote servers hosted by Alibaba, hence the updates. Users will now be able to prevent their data from being sent to remote servers by turning off the aggregated data collection feature.
