New reports from Cowen investment bank suggest that the launch of the highly anticipated iPhone 12 series will be delayed for at least two months. This is due to the effect of the current ongoing coronavirus pandemic. It is well known that Apple unveils its devices usually in the 2nd week of September, this was the case with its 2019 series, however this time, iPhone 12 will be delayed and unveiled in November instead. Based on leaks, we should be getting about 4 models for the iPhone 12 series, all with screens ranging from 5. 1 inches and 6.7 inches, with two 6.1-inch models in between. All of the new iPhone 12 devices will support 5G connectivity and, come with OLED displays with smaller notches. As per the design, numerous leaks point towards a square casing with metal frame, compared to the round edges we've been familiar with. A peek at the spec sheet further indicates that the iPhone 12 series will have a A14 chipset based on TSMC's 5nm processor under the hood, 4GB RAM for basic models and 6GB for the Pro, 128GB/256GB storage (plus 512GB on Pro) and Dual-lens rear camera (triple-lens with LiDAR on Pro).
Recently, the Police apprehended a notorious Phone dealer Yusuf Da Silver a.k.a Da gold, whose specialty was to buy stolen phones from armed robbers and sell to consumers in computer village. He confessed that he buys over 30 phones a week and made between N25000 and N30000 daily. If you are conversant with Computer village, you would know the hub has been in existence focompiterr a long time, it is where most people shop for brand new and used phones, laptops, gadgets etc. and go to for repairs. However, the hub has quite a notorious reputation. It is where dubious traders, fraudsters and scammers make a business from scamming and selling fake and stolen items to consumers. We’ve heard many stories about people who unknowingly buy cloned phones or phones implanted with ‘Fufu’ or bricks. So if you are not smart enough, you will definitely fall victim to these fraudsters. Although unfortunately, Nigerians really like ‘awoof’ (freebies), and this is another reason why they fall victim to the schemes of these fraudsters, mostly because they come looking for cheap deals and end up patronizing the wrong source. When the value of a phone is about a hundred bucks and someone offers you half or quarter the price, not only should you be suspicious of the dealer and the product being a counterfeit, you should also bear in mind that the item might have been stolen. However, dealing with such people unknowingly could still get you in big trouble; you could get arrested and jailed. Anyway, to avoid being defrauded by the computer village sharks, we strongly advice that you buy directly from registered and reliable stores and beware of patronizing street sellers who lurk around the market and try to persuade you to follow them to a location.
Have you seen the recent addition/release to the Huawei Y series? It’s called Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 - successor to the Huawei Y9 2019. The Y9 and Y9 Prime are really similar with certain specifications, although there are some major differences as the Y9 Prime is actually supposed to be an upgrade. Question then is, what sets them aside? Well, we won’t bore you by going into detailed specifications and builds of both phones. We will quickly state the attributes both phones do not have in common in this article. However, if you are the full specifications type of human, kindly view this from the phone specifications section on our blog. Now let’s get right to it… The major difference between the phones is the design/display type; while the Y9 2019 features a 6.5 inch panel with a notch that houses two front cameras instead of one, the Y9 prime 2019 has a 6.59-inch screen size with full-HD+ resolution which is a bit larger than the Y9. The Y9 Prime has a notch free screen display and this is because of the 16MP Motorized pop-up AI selfie camera which is fast becoming the trend for some smartphones in 2019 by the way, and unlike the y9 Prime 2019, the y9 2019 packs a double 16 + 2 MP front camera as mentioned earlier. Speaking of cameras, the Y9 Prime sports a triple camera set up at the rear, consisting of a 16 MP wide angle, 8 MP ultrawide sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor. Y9 2019 on the other hand came with a double 13 MP and 2 MP depth sensor similar to the selfie camera. Another difference is the operating system that powers both phones; while Y9 runs on Android Oreo (8), Y9 Prime is based on the latest Android 9.0 (Pie); EMUI 9, although, both phones are powered by the Kirin 710 octa-core chipset and a 4000 mAh battery. When it comes to connectivity, Y9 2019 still uses a Micro USB, while its successor, Y9 prime 2019, uses a 2.0 Type-C 1.0 reversible connector. And lastly, Y9 Prime comes in one RAM and storage option - 4GB RAM and 128 inbuilt storage which doubles the 64GB storage of the Y9 2019. You can see that although the Y9 2019 is not bad at all, the Y9 Prime 2019 is quite a catch. However, don’t forget to order…
